In August 2010 Sainsbury's offered in-store recycling points for chargers. Sainsbury's aimed to collect 150,000 unused chargers, saving 40 tonnes of waste from going to landfill.

This scheme has now closed but there are still many places you can take your chargers for recycling in the UK. Just enter your postcode into the search facility on this page.
