latest news from the Youth Eco-Parliament

On May 15 2008, over 40 students from across Europe and Canada met in Prague to present the "YEP report for the Environment - Let's change our daily habits!"

Over the past 6 months, thousands of young people have shared experiences from their environmental projects and and have debated online to structure and write this YEP report. The main aim was to create a framework for how young people can be active and make a difference to the environment, focusing on issues such as raising public awareness.

The report was presented to representatives of UNESCO and will feature within the UNESCO biennial report for the 'Decade of Education for Sustainable Development'.

5 students from Walton High in Milton Keynes, represented the UK at the YEP and played a key part in writing and presenting this fantastic and dynamic report on the environment.

More information on the report will be on these pages soon!
