what is the youth eco-parliament?

The Youth Eco-Parliament forms part of the PRO Europe Congress. The Congress values the importance of Environmental Education for young people, and therefore is holding the third Youth Eco-Parliament in Prague in May 2008. This is an assembly consisting of around 70 young people aged between 14 and 16.

The 2008 Youth Eco-Parliament aims to compose a document centred around the environmental projects that the young people have worked on. This document will be presented at an official ceremony to representatives of UNESCO , who are co-ordinating the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
