Welcome to the UK Youth Eco-Parliament website. In October 2008, Valpak will be taking a lucky group of young people aged 14-16 to Prague to represent the UK at the third Youth Eco-Parliament. Find out how you and your school can be part of the trip!
Projects will be run in schools within the UK and other European countries. Once complete, everyone involved will be able to share their experiences on the European website, via a discussion forum named the Cycle of Exchanges . This allows participants from countries to debate together over various environmental topics.

What is the European Parliament?
The European Parliament consists of 731 representatives from the 25 member states of the EU. The UK has 78 MEPs (Members of European Parliament). The European Parliament meets in Brussels, Belgium to undertake activities such as amending and voting on draft legislation and policy, deciding on the EU budget and approving international agreements.
