Valpak and the Carbon Reduction Commitment

The highest profile environmental issue at present is that of climate change and Valpak are acutely aware that much legislation in this area will affect Local Authorities. Due to take effect at the beginning of 2010, is the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC).

On 11 September the Valpak Awards celebrated the achievements of 9 Local Authorities for their work in the areas of recycling and resource management.

Winners and runner's up attended a spectacular evening at the National Maritime Museum, London where they were awarded a recycled glass trophy by BBC presenter Jeremy Vine.

recycle-more sponsored the Best LA Employee award. Many congratulations to the winner Imogen Brettell !
