Love Parks Week 2010

24 July to 01 August

Love Parks Week is an annual campaign which celebrates the importance of the UK's parks and green spaces. It is organised by the charity GreenSpace.

Love Parks Week provides the public with an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful parks here in the UK. In 2009 around 600 events took place with approximately 400,000 people taking part. The 2010 event looks set to be even bigger, with even more fun and exciting events taking place across the country!

How can you get involved?
By holding or attending an event you will be helping to communicate the message that parks are an essential part of every community. The type of event that you can organise is totally up to you. It could be a BBQ for friends and family, or a live music event involving the local community.

You can invite people to attend, or follow the event on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Remember the more people involved the better.

What are you waiting for? Pass it on!
Help to keep our green spaces nice places to be. Don't litter and start/ carry on recycling. Find your nearest recycling sites using the recycle-more bank locator.
