North East Recycling Rewards Competition
(The "Competition")

• The promoter is Valpak Limited, Stratford Business Park, Banbury Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 7GW ("Valpak").
• Eligibility to enter the Competition is restricted to residents of County Durham, Newcastle, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland who are over the age of 18. Only one registration per household is permitted. The Competition is not open to any employee of Valpak, or individuals who have been directly involved in the development, operation or promotion of the Competition.
• The Competition is open between 1 November 2012 and 31 June 2013. 8 Prize draws will take place on a monthly basis.
• Registration can only be made by either:



1. completing and posting an entry form available at council buildings to:

2. completing the online registration form via www.recycle-more.co.uk/nerewards/ or
3. 0844 844 4546 and following the pre-recorded instructions. Participants must provide their name, postal address with postcode and a valid email address if entering online.
• Once participants have completed the above process, Valpak will send personalised stickers ("Stickers") by post to their given address. To participate in the Competition, Participants must attach the Stickers to empty glass jars and aerosol cans (hard plastic bottles and aerosol cans in Northumberland) and place these items in their recycling bin for collection by the local authority in line with their usual collection arrangements.
• The winning participants shall be selected monthly at random and verified at Valpak's head office (the "Winners"). Winners will not be entitled to a prize if Valpak discovers on inspection that the Winner has not attached the Stickers to their, food and beverage cartons, glass jars and aerosol cans (aerosol cans and hard plastic bottles in Northumberland). Accordingly, a different winner may be selected at random (to be verified at Valpak's head office).
• Winners shall be notified by post, telephone or email within 14 days of the draw.
• No responsibility can be accepted by Valpak for lost Stickers or from Stickers becoming illegible or detached from the items.
• The Winners shall receive a prize(s), as selected by Valpak, to the value of £250 (the "Prizes").
• Prizes can either be used by the Winners themselves or, subject to the approval of Valpak, transferred to a community group. No cash alternative is available and the Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Valpak may elect to give a Winner a prize of equal or greater value for whatever reason.
• Valpak reserves the right to draw an alternative winner in the event that it is reasonably believed that a Winner is in breach of these terms and conditions.
• By entering the Competition, participants agree:



1. to be bound by these terms and conditions;
2. that their surname and county of residence may be released if they win a Prize;
3. that if required to do so, they will provide a photographic ID document (such as passport of driving licence) to Valpak for the purposes of confirming their identity;
4. that should they win a Prize, their name and likeness may be used by Valpak for such prearranged promotional purposes as Valpak may reasonably require.
• Valpak reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or withdraw the Competition as necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
• Images used for the promotion of the Competition are only for representational purposes.
• By entering the Competition participants agree that Valpak may collect and process participant's personal data (including contact details such as the name, address and email address of participants) for the purposes of the administration of the Competition. Valpak may also use participants' personal data, or permit selected third parties to use participants' data, to provide the participant with information about goods and services which Valpak reasonable considers may be of interest to the participant and Valpak or they may contact the participant about these by post, email or telephone. If the participant wishes to prevent such processing at any time in the future, the participant should contact Valpak at NERewards@valpak.co.uk
• Participants can receive the name of the Winners, which will be available from the date of each draw for 2 months, by sending a stamped addressed envelope to:

• Valpak excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring, whether arising in contract, tort (including without limitation negligence), statutory duty or otherwise, to the participant arising from his or her entry into the Competition or to a Winner arising from their acceptance of a Prize.
• The Competition is subject to the laws of England and the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
