Christmas recycling

Christmas Card Recycling

Throughout January you can take your cards to be recycled at special bins in TK Maxx, M&S and HomeSense stores.

These retailers will then be donating money based on the number of cards recycled to the Woodland Trust. For more information visit www.woodlandtrust.org.uk

Christmas Tree Recycling

Many councils now offer a recycling service for your old Christmas trees. Please contact your local council for more details.

Contact details can be found by entering your postcode into the recycle-more bank locator

General reuse and recycling

Visit the bank locator to find your nearest recycling site for old electrical items, packaging and other items.

Lots of websites are offering cash for your old mobile phones these days, but this is now growing to cover all kinds of electronic gadgets including sat nav's, digital cameras and laptops.

Retailers have also started to get in on the act including Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer's and Boots.

Visit our recycling tips section for details on how to reduce, reuse and recycle a wide range of materials
