You no longer need to sort your recycling Waste - We do it for you at Cawleys!

Our Materials Recycling Facilities (MRF) at both our Luton and Wellingborough depots are completely unique to the area. They are mixed 'dirty' MRFs, which effectively means that waste does not need to be pre-sorted before going through the system. This is unlike some other 'clean' MRFs solely for household and domestic waste, which can only deal with the pre-segregated recyclables from kerbside recycling schemes for example.

Some of the more common materials that will be recovered from a mixed general waste load include:

* Paper
* Cardboard
* Metals
* Plastic
* Wood
* Inert (soils, bricks etc)

See online for more details at http://www.cawleys.co.uk/Materials-Recycling-Facility

Glass Perfume Bottles? Can these be recycled?
It is impossible to remove the metal around the top and the plastic tube for the spray.

Recycling Old printer cartridges

1 123

We are a voluntary charitable organisation based throughout the UK and have a project for members to collect old ORIGINAL printer laser/Inkjet/Deaskjet cartridges for recycling. Annually we could collect 5000 cartridges from members. We have hit buffers because some of the recycling companies pay us pennies and sometime charge us for collecting these items. Surely there must be some good companies who can pay a reasonable amount to us. I will be keen to hear from such companies or readers of this site to offer some suggestions. Else we will stop collecting these as it takes a lot of storage and man hours to co-ordinate this project.
