Check out print-corner.com - they pay you for your old HP, Canon and Lexmark cartridges (min 5). It's a great fundraiser.

Why cant we export recyclable plastics as export to undeveloped countries. for example there would be a shipping or export subsidy and the recieceiving country would then recycle into the desired product that could benifit both countries.

Hello, When I recycle glass jars, I always throw the lids in the bin. Is that right? They stick to a magnet so I guess they are made of steel but I'm not sure about the plastic pad part in the top. Can I include these in with my can recycling?

We would like to be able to recylce all of the cardboard that is used in the school. It seems that most of the bulk of our waste is card and we have not managed to find any complany that can collect our card and take it to be recycled. Does anyone know what we can do?

recycling of jiffy bags by my pupils at school

Our eco-committee is looking at the items we seem to be unable to recycle from the school office. The office receives literature in jiffy bags at least twice a week and hence at least 100 bags over the year to go in land fill site. Does anyone know where we can take or send our bags to be recycled, also used postage stamps which the children wanted to get some money for to enable the classes to develop their school gardens. any suggestions will be passed on to the eco-committee. Pupils are aged 4 to 11.
