Recycling plastic punnets,etc

What is the point of saving all recyclable packaging when our
local centre only takes plastic milk bottles, tetra packs,
newspaper, clothing, cardboard & glass bottles?? Where can I take other plastics??

Our council has now decided that it will only recycle plastic bottles, where does this leave plastic trays that are pet 1 or HDPE 2 it seems like a waste of time the manufacturers bothering.

Email your Council and ask them why they don't recycle more. Also email the manufacturers and ask them to identify the plastic in their packaging on it so that you can see what you can recycle. Keep checking the packaging for info - it keeps changing.

Avoid any plastic you can't find recycling facilities for - or find another use for it.

Re-check what your Council collects on kerbside and in its bring banks by looking at their website. Also check your neighbouring borough just in case they have a leisure centre or supermarket for example which you visit where they take different plastics.
