Thanks.

The way you raise your child doesn't help all of the time. I know teenagers who would rather hide their beer cans (particularly after their free house party) in a black sack rather than fill the recycling box to overflowing. In Halls they behaved better.

They are also rather lazy. In Halls of Residence they had the system set up for them and they got into trouble if they didn't take and empty their box at the recycling banks (very close). Landlords and Letting Agents should be giving them info when they move into a house saying which Council they are under and what the arrangements for waste and recycling are.

I actually think that teenagers attitude towards the environment is fairly similar to that of the rest of society and will fall into 4 categories:

Group 1 - have knowledge about environmental issues and are environmentally pro-active and vocal Group 2 - have knowledge about environmental issues but do not really care or are not proactive Group 3 - have limited knowledge about environmental issues and do not care, feel it is not their responsibility to do anything Group 4 - have limited knowledg of the environment but are active in some environmental ways

They are not as involved in the daily running of the home as they should be. Everybody should be taking part in some way - no passengers!!

It depends on how far you can think. Are you just thinking about your own food and/or comfort and the here and now? Or have you thought about where that food comes from and how it gets to your plate (or fingers!) and where and what happens to leftovers?

Well, the attitude is many. Some are very into recycling and others on the other are not. The reason being, is its all up to the parent and how they reaise their child. And what the parent believes in. So, you could look at it in many different ways.
