which types of plastic can be recycled

Since the type of plastic is now identified on a container by the mobius loop and a number, does anyone know if all types (1to 7)can be recycled or only certain ones?

Sainsbury's marks up some plastics as not yet recyclable, Tesco marks up some just as plastic, M&S marks some as Waste Plan A. Where is the leadership? The tail is wagging the dog.

A lot of packaging is still not being identified by the manufacturers. It is our choice whether we buy goods in unrecyclable or unidentified packaging. Identifications marks were confusing - as it seemed to mean both can be recycled and is recycled!

There is a great difference between what can theoretically be recycled, what can be recycled in this country and what actually IS recycled.
