Help pupils explore the journey of plastic and learn why recycling matters with the #SortItOut campaign. In partnership with plastics recycling experts RECOUP, we’ve created free plastics recycling resources for schools that make recycling engaging, visual, and hands-on. 

What is the #SortItOut Campaign?

The #SortItOut campaign teaches children how everyday choices about plastic affect the environment. Through a fun, interactive story, pupils join a friendly alien as he explores the park and the beach, discovering what happens when plastic bottles are recycled — and what happens when they’re not. 

This interactive approach helps Key Stage 2 pupils connect small, everyday actions to larger environmental outcomes, making learning about recycling both memorable and meaningful.

Our free resources are designed to be easy to use in the classroom and link directly to the curriculum:
